Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS)

How Does It Work?

A team meeting will occur with your child’s clinician and the TBS manager/coordinator to determine needs, target behaviors, and develop a schedule for when support service will occur.

TBS staff will come to your house at scheduled times to assist you and your child in your daily routines, with prompts to redirect unwanted behaviors.

TBS staff are trained and certified to use Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques. Based on your preference and the completion of the goals you and your clinician create, your services will increase, decrease, or end.

TBS Will…

  • Teach you skills to cope with stressful situations or overwhelming feelings

  • Assist you in learning ways to communicate and express feelings which reduces intense behaviors

  • Help you become more successful in the school environment

  • Help your family learn skills to avoid or interrupt a conflict cycle
